Quick Access Reports (QAR) and Quick Start & Reporting Guide Release

CMS' RDS Center has developed a series of Quick Access Reports (QAR) to assist Vendors and Plan Sponsors by delivering consolidated cost reporting information to assist cost reporting activities. The QAR consist of frequently updated data and derived business intelligence, offering Vendors or Plan Sponsors a simplified, "one-stop shopping" view of cost reporting for multiple Applications or Benefit Options.

The QAR consist of two parts:

• The Cost Reporting Summary provides concise data for all of the recipient's assigned Applications and Benefit Options. Cost reporting information is summarized for each Benefit Option.
• The Cost Reporting Error Detail lists the errors detected on a recipient's Mainframe Cost Reports for each Benefit Option.

Both reports are formatted for easy import to internal databases or spreadsheets. QAR recipients can elect to receive the reports on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
