Future Changes to Retiree Processing Webinar

On November 18, 2009, CMS' RDS Center hosted two RDS Community Information Group (CIG) webinars for Plan Sponsors and Vendors about the future changes to retiree processing. The two webinars, which were identical in format, were presented in morning and afternoon sessions. Continuing the trend, both webinars filled immediately.

The webinar included several polling sessions and chats between CMS' RDS Center and participants. This interactive format promoted webinar participation and provided the CMS' RDS Center important feedback for continued improvements.

Discussion focused on upcoming system changes that impact retiree processing. Changes to retiree list submission, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) methods, future implementation of new reason codes, and a new retiree reporting setup for future applications were shared and discussed.

The participation and positive feedback from the Plan Sponsor and Vendor community continue to make the RDS CIG webinars successful.

To continue the topic of retiree processing, CMS' RDS Center will host a face-to-face meeting on December 9, 2009, at the Four Points by Sheraton near BWI Airport in Baltimore, MD. There will be further discussion of retiree processing, enrollment, and retiree list submission and EDI methods.
